Destiny Arts Center’s Emerging Artist programs provide PAID OPPORTUNITIES for young adults to continue their growth as creative innovators and cultural leaders under the mentorship of professional artists. These intensive, hands-on programs serve as collaborative incubators and engage participants as paid artists.

Queer Emerging Artist Residency (QEAR)

The Spring 2017 edition of QEAR, a paid collaborative artist residency for QTPOC performers will be led by Lisa Evans. QEAR Spring 2017 runs from February 20-May 20th, 2017. Applications open on December 1st and are due by January 1st. Residents are paid a stipend for their creative work.

New Media Arts Program (New MAP)

The New Media Arts Program is designed to prepare creative young people ages 18-22 for professional development in online multimedia.  Apprentices will learn film, digital photography, video production, editing, publishing, social networking and branding.  They will learn to use the latest technology and tools working in a team and supported by leaders in the field.
